Why Bullyguard exists

Bullyguard is a project by Flávio Luiz da Rocha — founder of NEXINTS, ordained minister and civil chaplain serving families in Massachusetts. It was born from a simple observation: the information that protects children online exists, but it's scattered, technical, and almost never reaches the parents who need it in their language.

Bullyguard's mission is to close that gap — in English, Spanish and Portuguese — for families in the United States.

We believe protection comes in layers: a child who recognizes the pattern, parents who know what to say, and devices configured correctly — in that order of importance.

We are not, and will never be, a spy app. We don't sell software that reads children's conversations. Surveillance breaks the trust that makes kids tell their parents when something goes wrong — and a child who tells is safer than a child who's watched.

The guidance on this site is based on publicly available material from organizations that research child online safety:

• FBI — guidance on sextortion and online crimes against minors
• Thorn — research on online grooming and youth digital behavior
• Common Sense Media — age ratings and family media research
• Official documentation from Apple, Google, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Discord, Roblox, Epic Games and Comcast/Xfinity
